After recent posts (https://www.reddit.com/r/RedditLaqueristas/s/XegXeAcb3X) highlighting safety concerns with the brand and discussion of MAGA posts by the co-owner, the owner made now-deleted post (https://www.reddit.com/r/lacqueristas/comments/1seaja8/gear\_shift\_glam/) clearly trying to distance themselves from politics and stating their politics are different from the co-owner. Everyone was very polite but firm about both the safety concerns and explaining that if you are going to post politically charged content, customers have a right to make choices about supporting your brand.

The co-owner just posted this on her Facebook and I just really really really take exception to polite discourse being framed as “abuse”. I won’t be buying from them, and think some other lacqueristas may want to be informed, as well.

I’m not surprised that the default for MAGAts is to play the victim.

I read a lot of comments in their now deleted Reddit thread today. No one was being aggressive, they were just calling out their shitty beliefs and behavior.

There are so many indie nail polish brands who make beautiful lacquer and who don’t support pedophiles and government kidnapping/illegal deportations.

I don’t care how much gay fiction she writes or how much he cares about everyone being included. If you do not actively stand against Trump, I will not support your business and I will consider you a bad (and moronic) person.

Ty for making a post on this. Brands like this need to be held accountable, especially when the owners make posts like this publicly. Also I hate mental illness being used as an excuse for poor behavior. You can have mental illnesses and not be a bad person (I use myself as example).

They were perfectly fine with their customers possibly losing fingernails due to their money-grubbing and lack of research but oh yeah we’re the mean ones

  4. Isn’t this the same brand that said they were using auto paint in their nail polishes?
