I just got my nails filled and repainted yesterday. They’d been on for like 3.5 weeks prior. My nail tech asked if I was happy with the length and I for some reason said yes. But… gosh… I should’ve had them shortened. I don’t know what I was thinking. They’re so long now. Is there a way to have them shortened without completely ruining the design or having to repaint them?

Unfortunately I don’t think so. They wouldn’t look good if you file them down now
Yes — you can shorten them without a full redo, but it depends on how much length you want to remove.
If it’s just a small amount, you (or your nail tech) can file them shorter from the tip and reshape — that usually won’t affect the design too much.
If you go much shorter, though, you’ll likely cut into the design and it won’t look balanced anymore, especially with detailed art like this.
A lot of techs will file + slightly reshape + seal the edges with top coat so it still looks clean.
If you’re unsure, I’d go back to your nail tech — it’s usually a quick fix and much cheaper than a full redo.
Son de libra?
Yes but they’d have to redo the design
They need to be redone. Filing will file away the polish.
