Hi! This is my Pan that Palette from last year featuring my second oldest palette – Flower Haze by Makeup Obsession. Here are the progress pictures. I've been a long time lurker but decided to contribute for the first time.
I initially tried to finish the whole palette but soon realized it would be much harder than expected, therefore I changed my strategy to just get as much use as possible and use up my favourites. The results were surprising.
It is my first roundup that I'm posting so please, give me ideas on how to improve my future posts! It would mean a lot.
(The 'Timeskip' was during a period of time where I didn't do any makeup I think, and wasn't consciously tracking the progress.)
(The jump between August and September has much higher use than usual. I didn't actually finish these shades up yet, but instead I scraped them out to mix into a blush and a bronzer, to finish it a bit easier. I'm still using those, so Dahlia, Honey and most of Haze are actuyally still around, but I count them as empties anyway)
Now, I'm gonna talk a bit about the shades:
Haze – 3/10 (6 uses) light, bright pink, didn't really suit me, rarely used for any looks, mostly used as a blush, or inner corner shade instead of a beige. not my cup of tea :/
Daisy – 4.5/10 (4 uses) vibrant magenta/purply-ish shade, with some soft satin shimmer to it. The sahde itself wasn't very pigmented and I dislike those kinds of shades as eyeshadows, but I enjoyed it as a wateractivated eyeliner for a while. It was a good partner to Rose, but not as liked.
Petal – 9/10 (35+ uses) muted, light peach/brown shade, matte, easily blendable. It was a light shade therefore it was impossible to build any depth with it but it was my go to transition shade and loved it everytime, it blended perfectly and had this slightly peachy tone that made those looks pop. a favourite
Tulip – 6/10 (3 uses) vibrant light red with orange undertones, matte. It wasn't the best formula ever but it was usable, I liked the red looks I created with it althought I expected to like it much more.
Honey – 7/10 (1 use) a golden honey matte yellow shade, with a little depth, really unique shade IMO. it was good for fiery looks, but I often used it to warm up other products. decided to go all in on it and created the best sahde of bronzer and blush for me. loving both.
Sunflower – 10/10 (35+ uses)sparkly golden sunshine shimmer shade. it was my everyday highlighter and everyone always asked what I was wearing it was so shimmery and glittery, i miss it so much. it had a crumbly formula, typical for this brand and I didn't love it but it was worth using for that finish <3
Amber – ?/10 (2 uses) orange. I used it like twice??? idk its good to have don't care to finish it soon.
Sky – 10/10 (15+ uses) sky blue shiummer with little base, like a topper. my favourite blue highlighter. period. please release this as a single im BEGGING.
Blossom – 4/10 (13 uses) light yellow-based transition shade. blends alright but is so dry that others shadow don't want to stick to it and has a ton of kickup in the pan.
Peony – 6.5/10 (10 uses) cool toned red. it was nice but I wanted to love it more, could've been more pigmented, not the best blends, needed a red base.
Rose – 7.5/10 (20 uses??) unexpected faourite, metallic pink. Great as a eyeliner althought the formula is painfully hard to work with, hardpans, crumbles like hell. but finish was nice. near the end I was using it as a blush/highlighter and it looked stunning, but had to manually break it up before picking it up with a brush.
Bluebell – 6/10 (4 uses) dark soft shimmer/satin blue. the reason I bought this palette, it is alright but I just… don't love it as much as I want.
Butterfly – 8.5/10 (10 uses) soft muted pink matte. blends nicely, is light but doesn't have the problems of Blossom. unexpected favourite after the loss of Petal, but like in reverse, it cooled down my makeup looks.
Dahlia – 0/10 burn in hell (is good in my blush though!) maybe 1 use
Lilly – 6/10 (dont remember) same finish as Bluebell, vibrant purple. alright but crumbly and not my everyday shade but it has it's use.
Poppy – 8/10 (10 uses??) metallic bronze/gold shade with silver shimmer. Really nice for summer looks and everyday, a little darker which I don't mind, I like this one but have many similar shades in my collection.
I tracked the amount of uses on a note inside the palette but I often forgot to mark those uses, also sometimes I would only use a tiny but, sometime I would do for example: a mono-red look 4 days in a row and would load up my brush with some shades and go to town. The mattes are also very kickup-y so it was easy to see progress in them and I'm heavy handed, and prefer to use more than less. Thank you for reading and tell me what you think !
