For a very long time (probably the last year!) I kept my nails as long as I possibly could without them breaking or impeding on my daily life. Which was pretty dang long. I think I grew some very intense nail blindness, because while the length I had looks great on some people and some hands, looking back it did NOT look great on me (I’m referring to the length in the second photo set)🫣
A few months ago, I started trimming my nails a bit shorter just to see if I liked it, and comparing the length I keep them at now (first photo set) which is about half the length of what they were in late 2025, I’m realizing just how much more flattering the shmedium length is on my hands! I have pretty stubby hands and fingers, so the longer nails just really didn’t suit me. I can also keep my ballerina shape more tapered and clean with the shorter length.
Flashback EVEN MORE to a few years ago when I tried to have pointy/almond/stilletto nails….. just no. That shape is gorgeous on others, but NOT for me😂😂
I want to see everyone’s shaping/length transformations! I love long nails SO MUCH and can admire them on others, but they just look so garish on my hands for some reason when I look back on old photos. Also would be curious if anyone disagrees with me and likes the longer nails more!
