I’d just get a file and file off the design and got matte.

I would ask for a redo with a new design if possible. It’s not mean to ask or to say, hey I appreciate your hard work but the design didn’t quite come out how I’d hoped, wondering if we could file this off and try another design? A good nail tech should have no issue with that; they want you satisfied and coming back, not at home trying to figure out how to chop off their work that you paid good money for.
If not that you could file and paint them yourself, but don’t be afraid to ask; you paid them so you should get a result you’re happy with.
