March Empties With Reviews
✅ CYO Shimmer Switch In The Clouds
This was a bronzer and highlighter in one pan with 4 shades. I used this daily from the day that I got it in Feb 2019, it was supposedly a dupe for a Bobbi Brown brick. I enjoyed it, clearly can't repurchase as CYO are no more, but this made me realise that I really like pink highlighters. Dedicating 7 years of my life to one product did feel a little much though. I'm quite enjoying trying out something else.
✅ Burt's Bees Lip Crayon in shade Redwood Forest (411)
Had this longer than I care to remember 🙈 the colour was beautiful, but the formula was really soft and it transferred easily, I don't own lip liners, but this made me reconsider my life choice. I think this product was recently discontinued but from what I've read, this definitely had its fans.
✅ Rimmel Wonder'Bond Bonding Serum Mascara 001 Black
I trialled this after being gifted it for free as part of a review panel. The formula was so wet and transferred quite a bit on my oily skin for the first few months, after that, it became absolutely perfect. I don't chuck mascaras away after 3 months, I usually keep them well over a year, this one I had open for >18 months and it was at peak at around 12 months. I wouldn't purchase this, there's better out there.
✅ Sally Hansen Maximum Growth Cuticle Oil Pen
This was really unpredictable, with some twists there was nothing, and with others, a big blob of oil would drop out of the tip. I liked the soft applicator, but I think a thick moisturiser would be just as effective. Didn't notice any difference with nail growth (as you might expect!) and I think this is discontinued, but I wouldn't repurchase.
✅ Flower Beauty Super Celestial Skin Elixir
What even is this product? I think it was marketed as a primer, but this is pure oil! It has a mild lavender scent so I just used it as a face oil at night. The glitter aspect of this is perplexing but actually the glitter in the bottle didn't seem to translate when the product was used. Can't repurchase but wouldn't. I didn't dislike it, but it's just not something I need.
I'm happy to have all of these products out of my life. 🙂
