I’ve been a fan of the Nivea UV Super Water Gel for years as it’s one of the few sunscreens that doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin and wears well over heavy moisturizers. However, it’s only PA+++ and I find that I still get kind of red sometimes if I’m outside a lot during the day.
I’ve been on the hunt for something similar but with better protection and that’s when I stumbled upon the new “EX” version.
It’s a bit thicker and creamier than the original but it sinks in quickly into the skin and has a more satin finish which I appreciate as the regular one stays pretty shiny.
It doesn’t pill even when used over a heavy moisturizer which has been a major issue for me with the Suncut UV Perfect Gel and Canmake Mermaid Skin Gel. It doesn’t feel greasy on the skin like the Skin Aqua UV Moisture Gel and Milk.
It does have a bit of a scent at first but it fades pretty quick. I also feel like the alcohol content might be higher than the original as I sometimes feel my face is a bit tight or sensitized after washing it off in the evening but the beautiful finish, ease of application and extra protection make it worth it to me.
Overall I highly recommend trying this one out if you’re a fan of the original and are looking for something with better protection and longevity.
