right now I’ve been rollerball oiling, but I’ve gone in and out with different methods. I like the brush pen the most, but it’s not reusable which I did not realize & SUCKS.
I also used to have a roll-up cuticle balm pen, which was meh. I like oil more. curious to hear others’ preferences.

Uhhhh I just get some jojoba oil on my palm and then rub it into my both my hands entirely and focus on the nails a bit.
Should I be using a tool of some kind 😳
Follow up question, what is your oiling routine? I’m still so confused about this.
The pens are refillable! You just have to pop the bottom off, pull out the stopper and wind it in the opposite direction. I’ve been refilling my pens for months now. That being said I prefer pens, the lip gloss applicator type is also nice though
I do like the oil brush pens that I use while at work or on the go but absolutely yes it sucks they’re not reusable/refillable. I have some balm that’s pretty okay too. But when I’m at home I go for just a bottle of jojoba oil and use it like lotion. I have one that’s thicker? or idk it seems like it doesn’t soak in as fast and I use that before bed.
I like the pen and the nail polish bottle/brush. I’ve never tried a rollerball but will one day just because 😂
i got one of the cutesy ones from ulta thats in a polish bottle with tiny flowerbuds in it and just refill it with jojoba oil and castor oil (50/50) sometimes just jojoba oil but i like the application and aesthetic of it
Roller ball for everyday, applicator with a brush for immediately after painting my nails.
I have a dropper bottle that stays at home and several refillable squeeze brush pens for on the go! I got mine from Bliss Kiss. I was worried that the squeeze pens would leak in my bags from being tossed around with whatever junk I’m carrying, but so far so good!
Multiple methods! From homemade, to HHC, to dollar store! Give me them ALL!
By the way, Victorian Varnish’s “Lavish” hand lotions are great! I don’t ruin my fresh manicure when I use it because I leave the lid off for no fuss. It’s a pump! I got mine from HHC.
I have a little oil collection like this in my office and by my bed as well, but only one cuticle oil in my purse as to not crowd things.
Edit – I do have some refillable pens I bought from Amazon (not shown.). The roller ball one with the gold cap is refillable.

I like the brush pen. I have bought refillable ones from Ali. No clue how long they will last me. Since I have only got them a couple of weeks now.
Big fan of roller balls overall, and the drip style that’s kind of like eye drops for home.
I need to find a way to refill the roller ball without warping the plastic and making the ball fall out of the applicator though.
Not sure why I just can’t stand the brush style.
I use the form that’s most convenient in different scenarios. So for example, I have oil in a polish bottle on my work desk (WFH). It being in a bottle means I can display it very prominently and it won’t roll around like the nail pen/rollerball. When I get bored or there’s a lull at work and I see the bottle, I oil my nails. For on the go, I use the nail brush pen because I don’t like to get my entire finger oily while I’m out and about, just the actual nail/cuticle. I also keep a nail brush pen in my car for this reason lol. Then I keep a roller ball one on my nightstand because at that point I don’t care enough about precision (nail brush pen) but I don’t want to risk accidental spills (bottle). Hope that all makes sense lol
Roller ball! I keep one in my pocket while at work and I always have one near me when I’m at home.

My favorite is the kind that’s basically a nail polish bottle with brush! I like to really douse my nails in oil lol but that still gives me a little more control than a dropper although I’m cool with those too. The click pens and rollerballs are good for on the go but I feel like I have to click them up so much to get the amount I want. Actually I specifically like the yellow lemongrass NBM rollerball because it seems to dispense more than the other colors, like the stone in the roller part is smaller or something. Balms are nice especially for flying since they don’t have to go in the liquids bag.
