I bought some fine particle magnetic powders from Vettsy (as others here have done) and various pigments from elsewhere and decided to experiment in making some polishes. My goal was to make shades that could be put over black but that would also look great on their own. The two farthest to the right do that really well. The pink magnetic ends up a pinky shade with a blue-green shimmer and pink magnetic shimmer. The orange/yellow magnetic looks like a shimmery mauve with very Scorchy-like magnetic shimmer.
One thing I learned – you don't need as much magnetic powder as you might think you do. The polishes to the left of center actually seem like they have a bit too much, so I'm going to dilute the bottles, probably add a little more of the underlying pigments for more pop.
Thoughts, suggestions, etc. welcome!
