I had finally run out of my go-to powder blush, so I decided it was time to try something new after a long while. This time, I was curious about liquid or cream formulas.
I quickly came across the True Dimension Radiance Balm by Hince and decided it would be the product that would make me “cheat” on the blush I had been loyal to for years.
In particular, I picked the shade Shelly Pink for the blush and the highlighter in shade 02.
I don’t have oily skin, my main concerns are dehydration and redness.
However, these products are incredibly greasy. As soon as I swatched them on my arm, I immediately noticed an unpleasant oily texture. I tried waiting several minutes before touching it, but the moment I lightly brushed it with my finger or a tissue, the product just slid right off.
I had already read reviews mentioning that it tends to break down the makeup underneath, even when applied as the brand recommends (and I can confirm that).
It really is extremely greasy, not that different from cleansing oils.
The highlighter could still be interesting, maybe applied strategically on the body during summer, though you should expect that same greasy feeling and that it won’t last very long.
As for the blush, I really can’t recommend it at all. The color is barely visible, it leaves the skin feeling unpleasantly greasy, and it ruins the foundation underneath.
I’ll definitely be going back to my usual blush!

I don’t find the shades particularly useful, but I’m a big fan of the clear version for that glass skin effect <3
I wouldn’t call this a typical cream or liquid blush formula, so I wouldn’t let that deter you from trying other cream/liquid blushes! This one is designed to stay tacky to give a wet, very dewy shine—more like sweaty glow or Vaseline than a traditional shimmery highlighter.
I think the Hince balm is very pretty when tapped on to cheekbones, especially if you’re into a minimalist look.
