It’s SO good and my nails won’t have intense damage later! (I’d only used sticky base for chrome and my nails hatteeee pvb even with a full manicure under it as a barrier.) I tried the QDTC method someone showed here and my chrome looks better, it was faster, and my nail health won’t be trashed!! Love this community.

Method:

2 coats ridge filling base (I used NailTek 3)

Working nail by nail:

QDTC – let dry for 2-3 minutes (I used Essie gel setter)

Buff on chrome powder with an eyeshadow bush, then buff on more gently with a finger pad (I used Artdone #6)

Use a fluffy brush to wipe off excess powder from nail

Coat with a water based top coat to protect the chrome finish (I use a 60/40 mix of clear Elmer’s school glue and isopropyl alcohol)

Finish with a standard top coat for protection (I used Sally Hansen miracle gel top coat because my Essie gel setter is running low and I’m trying to make it last)

Oh I love this! I’m too lazy to make my own top coat though – any recommendations for something off the shelf are welcomed!
