Honestly, the nails look a little too big for your nail beds. File down the sides a little more, and get a cuticle softener and pusher. Learn to gently move/push the cuticles out of the way so you can do your nails closer to the base. These almost look grown out. It’s a good first try, and nails require a lot of patience and practice, but you’ll get better after each try! Good job either way 🙂

solid beginner try. work on your cuticle prep so you can get a little closer to your cuticles, but definitely still keep a small gap until you’re confident you can keep product off your skin. i prefer a skinny flame bit held parallel to the nail plate for cuticle prep.
