Hi — I’m hoping ya’ll might have some suggestions for polishes that read like vintage orange. This is my dream summer nail color! It’s almost like a deep cadmium orange.

I haven’t had much luck, but these are the closest matches I’ve found.

OPI — A Good Man Darin’ (A little too bright)

Essie — Meet Me at Sunset (A little too red)

Death Valley Nails — Azalea (Too peachy pink)

Any suggestions? Please help a girl out. Thank you!

Vintage orange shades are my absolute favorite. Off the top of my head, my go-tos are OPI Roll in The Hague or It’s a Piazza Cake. Even though they are older it looks like you can still find them. Roll in The Hague is a bit more on the true “Dutch” orange whereas It’s a Piazza Cake is a bit of a warmer almost pumpkin and probably a little closer to a vintage orange like your inspiration.

Cracked Delicacy in Sardinia is my top rec but a few more people already had the same thought! CND Willow Talk is the same tone of orange but slightly more whitened — the formula is pretty godawful but I love the colour. For a metallic car paint-y finish, Expressie Misfit Right In is close but a little too far on the copper side of things. I would love to hear some suggestions for a metallic foil-y finish that’s more burnt orange than bright copper.
