I seek community wisdom! I’ve been wanting Pearl Clutcher by MC since I first saw the promo pics…but it’s almost $24CAD and another $14CAD shipping. I had a couple other MC polishes I was wanting but have since found dupes for them, so can’t justify the $40 for a single polish.
Does anyone have dupes recommendations for Pearl Clutcher that have similar opacity? I saw that BKL Princess of Starlight was close in colour but very sheer.

Maybe BKL – Maman? (Some swatches here https://www.reddit.com/r/RedditLaqueristas/comments/1rwj0dz/bkl_maman/) I haven’t received mine yet so can’t attest to it, and have only ever seen swatches of Pearl Clutcher. As I understand it, BKL reopen the vault for overpours 2 months after initial release, so I imagine they’ll have this one for the next drop? But I don’t know since I’m from EU 🙈
Fancy Gloss Winter Halo & Haunted Polish Spider Glass look similar to my eye. I don’t know eithers Canada shipping situation.
I have Pearl Clutcher and I like it, but I didn’t love it as much as I thought I would. I have Princess of Starlight but haven’t worn it yet. I can swatch it over white when I get a chance, and do a comparison. (Am also in Canada, would be willing to destash PC. DM me if you’re interested.)
Based on swatches alone, [Haunted Spider Glass](https://hauntedpolish.com/products/spider-glass) seems pretty similar (and is even on sale right now).
My sister bought OPI Kyoto Pearl and loves it. It’s a nice pearl that hits the spot for her.
I feel like it’s a color that probably isn’t too hard to find a dupe. I might order it from MC as part of a collection, or maybe an add-on if I was placing a larger order that would qualify for free shipping. But as a single bottle order? I wouldn’t be able to justify that.
I don’t have a dupe off the top of my head. I bought pearl clutcher to redeem some reward points and found it kind of disappointing. For me the formula wasn’t as smooth and pearl like as I hoped. In some light it read more silvery shimmer than pearl. Definitely wouldn’t recommend paying $40 for it alone.
Fancy Gloss Winter Halo is an exact dupe aside from the shimmer particles being smaller. I’d get my swatch sticks out for you, but I don’t want to wake my fiancé. I can take a picture for you later if you’d like. I do own both Pearl Clutcher and Winter Halo, and aside from the shimmer particle size, they are dead on dupes.
Edited to add I’m not sure about Fancy Gloss’ availability in Canada, though!
