I can't believe this is my first mani in about a month. Not to trauma dump on the sub, but we've been dealing with a little bit of a family crisis – we have collectively decided that my 80 year old mother has finally aged into the need for an assisted living situation after yet another medical event, meaning we've been scrambling to get her into that while also caring for her post surgery & getting her house sold. The last few weeks have been busy to say the least, leaving no time for little indulgences like this.
I didn't even realize spring was upon us, as I've largely not even had a chance to leave the house save for a quick run for groceries or to the mailbox (and even then, being so distracted with the events around me meant I didn't notice nature beginning to come alive).
I'm finally back home as of yesterday, and this evening decided a little self care was a must. This salmon-pink with gold shimmer feels like it fits the season well. It's one I've been holding onto for years but have never worn, but feels like it was made for this moment.
