Laquerist(a) Day* 2026 is almost here! It's an event created on this sub to coordinate wearing a recognizable nail look and increase the chance of Laquerist(a)s recognizing each other in the wild. Virtual participation is welcome, too! This is meant to be fun and support community amongst the nail polish obsessed.

I am loving all the shades and finishes of greens posted for St. Patrick’s Day and for the appreciation of a green mani. As decided by survey results, our first ever Lacquerist(a) Day* continues the trend with the designated mani being:

  • Green for main color
  • A different green on the ring finger (accent nail) of each hand
  • Glitter on the accent nails – This is optional and was highly requested.

Honorable mention: There were suggestions to paint an “L” or “C” on the accent nails, which you’re more than welcome to do to make the look more distinct. The prompt allows for variation.

On March 25, I will start a “Show off for Laquerist(a) Day* 2026” thread for participants to share mani photos with permanent option to model weird hand poses (another fun request received during planning).

Participation is of course voluntary, and I encourage using polishes that are accessible to you. If green is not your cup of tea, know that if/when we do this again, the designated mani will almost certainly be different.

*Actually lasts for a week. Laquerist(a) Day begins with r/RedditLaqueristas’s birthday on March 25, and the event continues through April 1.

In the photo, I am wearing

Base: Nailtiques Formula 2

Polish: 2x HT Stop Buggin' on all nails + 2x HT Feral Forest on thumb, index, middle, pinky

Top Coat: G&G Clear, Shiny and Fast Drying

Ooh I love this but I’m not really an emerald green girlie! Anyone else considering a mint green?
