tl;dr – "LacquerStash" on AppStore / Google Play
(I posted about this earlier on r/WeGotPolishAtHome and improved the app in this week's app update based on the feedback received, so it's now ready for its debut on this sub!)
The screenshots on the AppStore/Google Play listings can clearly describe what the app
has to offer but if any of the following resonates with you, I'm sure it'll be worth trying out LacquerStash:
– "I don't know if or when I ever wore this polish"
– “I have no easy way to keep notes on my collection”
– "The tracking app I use already lacks a lot of features"
– "I don't know how much money I'm spending on nail polish"
– "Google Sheet isn't mobile friendly and it's hard to store pictures there"
– “I sometimes buy dupes by mistake since I don't remember everything I own”
– "Notion / Airtable are too complicated for me and don't have a db of all polishes"
This app has been beta tested over 2 months by 50 members of this sub, with their feedback being continually implemented, so this is truly an app for Lacqueristas. That said, there's still a lot more that can and will be done, but based on the feedback received so far, I am confident about the value this app will provide to the community and proud of the work we’ve done together.
Thoughts you might have at this point:
- "I'm not going to manually enter my collection of 100s of polishes!"
And you don't have to! There's an "Import Your Stash" option in the app. All you need is a list of all your polishes (CSV, Google Sheet, etc.).
- "Is it free?"
Yes. Though two features will get capped at a generous limit which is hopefully enough for you to decide if the app is worth your time or not. You can pay to remove those limits. (Also: No ads, even on the free tier!)
- "How is this different from Lacquergram?"
Lacquergram is a great app! Its nail polish database, built over 7 years, is unmatched. You'll find every brand on earth there. I believe it's centered more around discovering new polishes and seeing swatches from others.
LacquerStash is centered around YOU. Your collection, your manis, your usage and purchase history, your dupes. You also have access to a public database with 100 of the most popular brands (currently 17,000+ polishes, with more being added regularly), and you can still find inspiration via 'community manis'. Plus, there's a unique destash feature which I think you'll like a lot!
I'm super open to feedback: I promise you'll be surprised by how quickly your feedback is addressed and how soon it gets shipped in future app updates!
I'm so excited to see how this helps you all! 😀

Omg that’s ME 😳 !!
Thank you so much for making this 🩵🩵 I had been hoping someone would iterate on the concept and I’m so glad it’s here 🥹
I’ve been beta testing this app since day 1 and I am beyond happy with what it’s become! It started off as something that was already better than any other nail polish app that existed but it’s evolved (with feedback from the community and Rohan’s hard work and dedication) into something even better than I could have imagined.
On top of being functional and well organized and full of features, the UI is also really clean and it LOOKS nice, which is important to me both as a designer and as a user who will spend countless hours in the app.
I’m excited for more users to start adding their wishlists so we can take advantage of the really awesome destash feature, which matches people who are searching for a polish with someone who is destashing it!
And personally I just really really love Barkley the Glitter Retriever. 💛
I just downloaded it!
🫶 picked up the lifetime membership, this is such a cool idea and I want to see it succeed. Thanks for all your hard work ❤️ I love this community
I was a tester too, and can vouch it also works amazingly well on an IPad! It is so user friendly and instinctive! I’m also so excited for the wishlist/destash option, and admittedly I like playing with Barkley the Glitter Retriever even if I don’t need a polish picked for me!
Rohan has been wonderful to work with, very open to suggestions and so very helpful.
I hope everyone here gives it a go and thinks it’s as brilliant as I do!
How are you fine users utilizing lists? What are your different lists? This looks fun!
