I’m getting consistently good results from some tricky magnetic polishes using the following method!
- Day 1, do a manicure with a plain jelly polish close to the base color of your magnetic. Add QDTC
- Day 2, after that has fully cured (for me it was actually day 3 because I was lazy), do *one* generous coat of your magnetic polish, followed by a thin/less viscous QDTC.
Every time I do this, I’m getting results without weird brush strokes/dents in the magnetic, plus no bubbles in the TC.
This manicure:
- Base: Nailtiques Formula 2+ x1, LynB Designs B-Smooth ridge filler x2
- Jelly polish: Cirque Curacao Jelly x2
- First TC: Vibrant Scents Fast & Hard
- Magnetic polish: ANLAC Leprieur’s Glory x1
- Final TC: Cuticula Limitless
The final two coats were magnetized with the 5D print factory tool, used alone because I did the second half of this mani while on a conference call LOL

NyQuil nails!!! I love them!!! Ty for sharing this technique! Sounds like it might take less time than the 3 hour manis I’m pulling right now 😅
I am also learning the magic of the two-day manicure! the fully-cured base is crucial!! waiting a day between the color coats and top coat have also resulted in no bubbles/streaks for me (this would mean a three-day mani). sucks to have to wait but all the steps take me absolutely forever so it helps to have it broken up into parts anyway. you did a really beautiful job here!!!!
Now THESE are NyQuil nails 😍
