So my girlfriend has a whole shelf of skincare products and she's always trying new stuff. One day we were talking and she was saying how she never really knows if something is working or if it's something else in her routine that's making the difference. That conversation stuck with me and I ended up building an app for it.
It's called SkinDiary – Skincare Tracker basically it lets you track your daily skincare routine, log how your skin is feeling, and take journey photos so you can actually look back and see if a product is making a difference over time.
But the part I'm most excited about is the community side of it. You can see what other people think about a product, check out their routines, and if you see someone with a routine that's working for them you can just copy it and try it yourself. I feel like that's something that's missing from a lot of skincare apps — being able to learn from what's actually working for real people.
The main features:
– Daily check-ins — track your AM/PM routine and rate how your skin feels
– Product shelf — keep track of everything you're using
– Journey photos — take progress photos and compare over time to see what's actually working
– Discover — browse other people's routines and product reviews, copy what works
I'm a solo developer and this is my first app so I'd really appreciate any feedback. What would you want to see in something like this?
TLDR: I made a skincare app that helps find different products and feedback on how people feel about these products.
