first post. first ILNP. wooowww

ok. so.

This subreddit came across my algo a couple of weeks ago. these posts have been blowing my tits off. I wasn’t aware of the indie polish game outside the one random Butter London a friend gave me in 2010 (a beautiful dark purple with silvery shimmer, the name escapes me).

I’ve been a working class person for the last decade and always had jobs that precluded the ability to enjoy painted nails- I’d be using solvents or working on a part that would be marred easily. i was always doing carpentry or mixing resin or handling something that I absolutely couldn’t risk damaging. I’d enjoy nail art and color from afar, but it just wasn’t for me anymore i guess.

I recently got a new job. And at the same time, this sub came across my feed. ILNP was a revelation! I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I just randomly decided to check out their site and I ended up wishlisting about 150 polishes. I decided to splurge- buying myself the first nail polish I have in like, oh 8 years.

And today, on my Cake Day 🍰, on an unexpected snow day, ona Friday the 13th, I got my package. It took me like 20 minutes to commit to a color, it was agony to decide. Forgive my total slop paint, I have no experience anymore.
