I haven’t had acrylics in many years, but I recently went (last week), I feel like the amount of acrylic not smoothed out under my nails abnormal. Along with the edges. My cuticles weren’t ever touched (is that normal), and along the grow out of the acrylic there is some sort of white residue (kinda hard to see in pictures).

Please tell me this isn’t the new normal?

  1. They played in your face! They filed too much of your side walls, the white residue looks like lifting, and the smile line looks crooked. I’m not a nail tech, but that’s what I have observed.

Uhh no these were no diff then when you walked out, cuticles? Sidewalls? I would not have paid.

What is this?!? Omg! I cannot believe someone did this, looked at it and was like that’s good!

  4. I can’t believe you walked out like that, they look half done and a bad half done job. Go back and have someone redo it before they charge you or eat it, go somewhere else, soak off and start new

Was this at a salon or a private tech? Either way a conversation is needed.

These are horrid. The application looks lazy and there’s acrylic everywhere. I wouldn’t have even paid for this service.

Should I remove them before going to a new tech & salon, or let the new tech remove them?

  8. This has happened to me before when the tech is not detailed when laying the product at your cuticle buuuut every nail is wild.

I would also say once I got a tech who was amazingly detailed I noticed this what people are calling “lifting” on nails where my cuticle wasn’t firm at the base. It’s basically where the product got under your cuticle. It’s just straight acrylic without buffing and the gel so it has this off white look. A way of knowing this is if it didn’t look like that at the base before they started growing out

This is what it looks like when I try this at home. Right before I take them all off and use press ons.

  10. I audibly gasped when I got to the second image.

Those are awful, I’m so sorry

What on earth?! No. I am so sorry this was your first experience in a long time. 🥺

  12. With love, these are the worst nails I’ve ever seen. They are crooked, thick, and sloppy. I would get these taken off and get a refund.

I’m sorry but these are really, really bad. It looks like they’re lifting already. The application overall looks very sloppy. These just aren’t it, girl. Please get a refund or at the very least, soak these off.
