Maybe I’m just using it wrong, but every time I try to use Essence’s cuticle remover, my cuticles and nails look worse than before.
-
Am I leaving the product on for too long? *(I let it sit for 15 seconds, and then try to gently scrape the dead skin away as the product is still on my nails. I do this for a minute max. and then quickly wipe it away with water and a cotton round).*
-
Should I do another round? *(Did I just not get it all off?)*
-
Or am I doing this completely wrong?

By the way, this is what my thumb looks like on the right before I try to use the cuticle remover. And on the left is what my other thumb looks like that I used the cuticle remover on.
I just hope I can get some advice on what I should do differently.
I don’t think you’re leaving it on long enough! I don’t have the Essence remover but I leave the Sally Hansen on for 45 seconds to a minute.
It also helps to gently push back the proximal nail fold (I think that’s what it’s called) before the cuticle removal so the remover gets to contact more of the cuticle
