I finally had the mental energy to post these cuties. I was laid off at the end of September and boy howdy it's been a journey. Thankfully I start a new job next week, but for the past 5 months I've been desperate to find anything to occupy my time whenever I'm not busy with detaching myself from reality. Few things have been able to cut through the melancholy and infinite sadness of being an unemployed scientist in the fever dream that is America right now. Thankfully getting crafty with different nail polish designs and techniques (and this sub) has been a shining beacon of hope.
I've been painting my nails for years and I like to think I've been gifted with a fair amount of general creative talent. Unfortunately artistic drawing/painting abilities were not included in those gifts. This has been a whole new world so I've been relying on my ingenuity to find ways to improvise, adapt, and overcome while still using regular lacquer. So far out of all the sets I've done this is the first design execution I've been properly chuffed with. The Fiery Attraction added a really nice depth even with a matte top coat.

I really love the way it looks matte. So glam and elevated 🔥
Probably a dumb question, but do you use anything to cover your skin around the nails to make cleanup easier when you stamp? I’ve seen IG reels with people peeling something off after doing nails, but don’t know what it’s called to find it online (brand suggestions would be nice too).
Matte black and red is like a cheat code 🔥
