Trying my 5D glass bead spinner for the first time. I was noticing the results weren’t very bead-y and more like a velvet so I added my 30 lb magnet to the top. You can see the result is significantly improved on the middle finger, compared to ring and pinkie. I’m not sure this is the miracle many tout it to be – still looks very disbursed and was awkward and time consuming to use. Video taken mid mani, and I’m experiencing some disbursement.
- Products used: Manicurist green base coat, two coats of Bees Knees Miromabby, Sally Hansen Insta Dry Top coat. Magnetized second Bk coat + top coat one minute each and manually spun with my finger.

The magnet is so heavy it always makes my 5d spinner’s top part fly off when I try to spin! Did you experience that?
Don’t get me wrong and they all look beautiful but they don’t look too dissimilar in the video. Imo the first finger looks like it has the best glass bead effect but that’s just my opinion and the way it appears in the video.
This may be controversial but I feel like no matter how tight the bead looks right after, they disperse just the same to me after a day or two. I think people really fixate on the immediate look as soon as they finish and it causes a lot of people to wonder what’s “wrong” with their techniques so I would LOVEE to see this same comparison on both nails after 2 days to see if I’m crazy or not !!! I also use a 30ib on top of my 5d print shop spinner and they look exactly the same as not using it when I compare the dispersed effects the next day.

I prefer the look of it without, honestly. I don’t get the appeal of a teeny glass bead. I love the full coverage yet still fluid look of the ring finger. Doesn’t it disperse anyway?
