isn’t this a popular video at the moment? i’ve had so many posts on my FYP saying “you are chinese now” in the past few weeks. i might be wrong since i don’t keep up with current trends a lot but it seems like just a harmless meme to me 😅
A few of my Chinese friends love the “you’ve met me at a very Chinese time of my life” meme but I have no idea how it’s generally received by Chinese people.
I think Darcei is sometimes accused of being a Koreaboo so maybe that’s part of the discomfort you’re feeling, OP. She has an “interesting” relationship with East Asian culture.
