I am using my magnetic lab stirrer to create a glass bead effect, and I noticed that each finger has a slightly different shape and bead positioning. Is there any way to make them more consistent even my left hand looks different than my right hand. I find that magnetizing upside down looks better but also is super awkward to hold in place. Any tips would be appreciated!

My method:

1 coat Holo Taco pink smoothing base
1 coat Cirque Colors BAE not magnetized
1 coat Cirque Colors BAE magnetized, finger held upside down very close near center of the base of the stirrer, setting on low
1 coat Sally Hansen Instadri, magnetized same way.

  1. I have this issue too with the lab stirrer – so much though that I gave up trying to get good results with it on my manicure and I started using the 5D spinner with the horseshoe magnet on top. I get better results that way. I still use it for swatching and testing out how polishes will look with glass bead but it’s too hard to get a consistent bead (and position) with it otherwise. I’ll be interested to hear from anyone else who has fixed the issue though.
