I recently panned the Essence Cranberry Lip Oil (shade 01 Smooth Protector). As it is discontinued, the closest replacement for it is the Essence Hydra Kiss Lip Oil (shade 03 Pink Champagne). I absolutely LOVED the Cranberry one, it gave a slight pink tint and it felt like a true lip oil – not sticky or lip gloss-y, just like a light oil with a tinting effect. 5/5
The replacement, however, will be a hate pan. The Hydra Kiss oil doesn’t feel like an oil at all – it is very viscous, thick and super sticky, very much like a lip gloss. I’m really disappointed in it. The gloss it gives looks nice though, so I’ll give it a 1/5. It’s probably not THAT bad for those who can beat stickiness, but I can’t. I hate lip glosses in general for that reason.
Slide 2 (Cranberry Oil) and 3 (Hydra Kiss) contain INCIs for the products, just in case someone is interested or could explain what makes the Hydra Kiss so sticky compared to the Cranberry Oil.
