Hi! I’m newer to getting my nails done (this is my third time) I got these done at the salon 2 days ago. One nail chipped yesterday & a gem came off today😭 the last gel polish I had lasted 3 weeks without chipping soo idk what’s going on but I’m worried they’re all gonna chip and break soon ): what should I do? Go back to the salon & get these 2 nails fixed? Then what if they all start breaking after that?😅 and am I going to be paying per nail or will it be free? Ik I should just call the salon and ask but I’m scared and shy, not sure how this works typically.

I hate being first in the thread because I don’t have any good advice to give, but I’m sorry they’re chipping! They’re so cute! I hope you get answers on what to do but I just wanted to tell you your nails look adorable and you have good taste!

It depends on the location, but if you go back and explain you were in two days ago a they’ve chipped o would hope they would be able to touch them up for you! It doesn’t hurt to ask. You could call if it’s not nearby

Had a nail chip and it was $5 for one nail to fix. 😬 ridiculous for one nail when it was less than 24hrs later and obviously how the nail was done. Not anything I did.

  4. this chip should not happen two days out; definitely call and ask. also, it doesn’t seem like there’s anything over the gems to keep them on? I top coat over little gems like this and figured this was standard practice. I think you’ll lose more because of that.

I think these nails weren’t properly prepped. They should fix it for free if they’re chipping 2 days after being done. Also, it looks like you have some cuticle flooding a bit? I would consider a different nail tech for next time

At my salon if you get any chips / peels in the first 7 days they’ll fix the problem nail/s for free. definitely worth giving your salon a call OP!
