Some of us have been boycotting Estée Lauder for a while, a few people have started to boycott more recently….

Thoughts on Chloe (and others) promoting the brand right now? The timing doesn’t seem like a coincidence, as it doesn’t appear like there’s a new product launching. Is EL trying to do some kind of damage control?

Also the foundation match is off which is bugging me when it’s a foundation event!

  1. I think ultimately people are going to boycott if they really feel strongly for it. A lot of things you see online is very performative anyway.

How many creators called out YSL when they released those liquid bushes that they marketed as universal but wouldn’t work on dark skin. Then a few months later, YSL released powder blushes and every creator was pretty much promoting them. You would think they wouldn’t mention YSL again given the outrage. Ultimately it’s all mostly performative. I would say if you want to boycott, you should. But don’t expect others to, especially influencers.

Also, Estée Lauder is launching a reformulated Double Wear so I wouldn’t be surprised if its mention a lot in the next few weeks.
