Had to say goodbye to (all) my old Make Up Forever Artist Eyeshadows (shades in photo 2) even though I only panned 1 shade after 6 years (got them in 2020, thanks to Coldemort shopping). Went to swatch some for a look and ended up getting an allergic reaction. Not surprised that finally (after so many years) the product needs to be tossed but filled with nostalgia for my 20s and the collector mentality I had when I bought them. Sad part is, MUFE definitely reformulated since when I bought these and (no surprise to anyone) discontinued most of these shades and finishes that I loved so well. These were super pigmented and blendable and I loved playing with these and making looks year-round. I will keep these for a separate art project/painting or craft but honestly I am "tossing" them from my makeup collection. RIP.

Edit/Update: Oops added "to be panned" info in my previous post (my bad ya'll)…A lot of you guys had great points on proper storage of eyeshadows so they last longer and recommendations for brands with fun colors.

BUT I have an update on the usability of old MUFE eyeshadows as pigments for watercolor paint. It WOOOOORKS. Maybe it's a bit less pigmented than a standard water color paint but with a ready-to-use binder it works a treat. Another great way to make your old makeup last if you can't use it on your face anymore (like me). Here was my favorite (panned) shimmery green for reference.
