Ugh….I always see people with beautiful and classy neutral, nude nails. They look subtle but you can tell they were done. I usually get light pinks, reds, and white. This time, I decided to try nude….except I think it looks terrible against my skin. Maybe too close to my actual skin color. I spent $80 on this new set and my friend told me it looks like all I did was grow out my natural nails and shape them…How bad do these look? What do I do now? Can I save them by adding something to them? I'm not big on designs or anything flashy but open to ideas…maybe turn them into french tips by adding white to the tips? Also, in terms of shape and size, are these nails too long for my hands?

What about just paint them a solid color?
If your friend said they look like you grew out your nails and shaped them, doesn’t that mean you achieved your goal of subtle? As someone who can’t wear that shade of nude because it makes me look genuinely dead, I think they look lovely on you! But if you really don’t like them, as someone else said maybe just paint another colour you like over them? I’d try a jelly pink 🙂

Be calm. They don’t look horrible at all. I think you’re overthinking – they’re not too long either. Just put another color polish over the top if you like. The jelly pink is a great suggestion.
I don’t think your friend has seen natural long nails bc they absolutely don’t look like that lol.
