So over the last few weeks I have felt compelled to take up a new procrastination method—cataloguing my polish collection in a slightly insane spreadsheet! Everyone I know thinks I’m crazy so I’m sharing it here in hopes y’all can appreciate it!
It has a dashboard with charts that break down my entire collection by color, brand, spending, retail value, and tracking my spending (redacted out of caution). polish totals and my spending in different tables and charts (I forgot to get screenshots of the other charts, sorry!). It also has a search tab that allows me to search for specific colors and effects/finishes and brand. This took me forever to figure out how to do!
None of the swatches are mine—the vast majority come from brand websites.

LOL my finances aren’t even this well documented. Seriously, this is a thing of beauty. Well done!
I love searchable spreadsheets and have one, too! I used a large language model to help me build a dashboard that runs analytics on my collection and usage.
