I mean of all the ways I did not expect this hobby to be a danger to my wallet… 🙄
So with all apologies for my horrible stupid ancient potato of a phone, this topper is indescribably freaking GORGEOUS. I think I stared at it and tried to take a picture that did it justice (and failed!) for an hour last night. (Not exaggerating. I know because I listened to an extra episode of Yellowjackets after I finished painting. 🤣 Listen not watch, I was staring at my nails!)
Topper is Distortion from Punkish Polish’s new topper collection. It has a stunning red orange gold shift, and almost hints of purple at some angles. I haven’t tried it over a light color yet but I bet you’d see the purple more over a light color, you can definitely see it in the bottle. It has a ton of sparkle in all lighting so far, not sure of that’s just the reflective glitter or of there’s a little holo in there too? You can see the purple reflective glitter when I click the flash on. 🤩. It’s so amazing and I’m so mad my camera will not pick up the full spectrum of gorgeousness. Oooh, i first saw it in a mixing video on instagram which really showed the red, I’ll see if I can find it.
I’ve got 2 coats, over 2 coats of Uno Mas – Gothspeed, my friend. Killer combo. Over a red it really boosts the golden shift. This is my favorite mani I’ve done in a while!
I can’t wait to try it over a dark blue. And a grey. Ooh and silver… 🤩 dang it how am I going to wear my other new toppers? I’m too in love with this one. 😆
Base is cracked smoothing, though with glitter and so many layers I probably did not need the smoothing aspect. Top is kb shimmer clearly on top.
