I haveth a query. What polish did you purchase in 2025 that you had such high hopes for, but it turned out to be “meh”? For me it was ILNP’s Glowstick. It looks gorgeous on the website, but on me, it was lackluster. The magnetic effect was okay, but it lacked that WOW factor for me. I might try it as a topper on black and see what happens. Instead, I found ILNP’s Flower Child to be my favorite ILNP so far. The sparkle, the shift, the perfect holographic glitter saturation. Just beautiful.
Could I use peel off base coat, or water based topcoat, to protect my base colour from acetone/nail polish remover, so that when I start doing art on my nails and mess up, I could remove the mistake without affecting the polish underneath?
I ask this because I just got chrome powder yesterday, and as I don’t have any water based topcoat yet I used ÜNT Ready for Takeoff peel off base coat before putting a normal topcoat over it. I went to remove it today with 98% acetone polish remover and it only took off the topcoat, leaving the chrome underneath unaffected.
It is so interesting to be brown and look at swatches online that end up having nothing to do with how the color looks on your skin. I always thought Essie Fairy Tailor was an extremely beige neutral so I never wanted it, but I got it as a gift and it looks pink on me lol
Of course solars _could_ be worn any time, but I’m curious: do you prefer them at only certain times of the year? If so, when?
I was gifted one at Christmas that I put aside for now, thinking that between the cold, the clouds, and the low sun angles I was unlikely to see in its full glory any time soon. I think it might be my only untried; I usually wear new stuff ASAP. What I haven’t decided is when I want to pull it back out though 😅
Hi! I just found this sub, and I already see posts of people saying that their polish lasted them 12 days with no chipping, and that’s on long nails! While when I do my short nails, it barely lasts me 3 days. Can you help me, what am I not doing, or doing wrong?
I usually wash my hands well, wait for them to get dry and then apply some alcohol to remove any oil. Then I use base coat, 2 usual coats, and a top coat too. I’m located in Turkey and I use store bought mass market brands here, they have a very good reputation but aren’t professional or niche.
What should I focus on to make my polish last? Or is it just an individual thing?
Anyone have swatch comparisons of ILNP Coconut Cream vs. Cracked Vanille? I can see what they look like online but have never seen them actually put side by side
