I am a girl who loves a holo and loves a magnetic so I recently picked up Black Swan by Cirque. This one seems somewhat unique in that the magnetic particles themselves are holographic.

I've seen a few other posts about this polish around this sub and/or other parts of nail polish reddit, and I concur with some of the less than glowing comments on it. The magnetization doesn't seem super strong and the holo is pretty subtle. It is also not super opaque, so if you're looking for a "holo on black" look rather than a gray translucent jelly I do advise putting it over black as I did here.

I will say that when I first put it on (glass bead, motorized lego rig with 25 lb horseshoe) I was pretty underwhelmed. I wore it for New Year's Eve and it just kinda looked like a standard black with silver magnetic under the indoor lighting.

But! Under a bright LED or sunlight it does look pretty cool (video is in sunlight today – it's been a couple days so the pigment dispersed a little). So its redeemed myself in my eyes, but I would say I recommend it for seasons/places/lifestyles where you'll be in those ideal lighting conditions. You won’t get the riotous rainbows of a regular linear holo but it does definitely have a unique appeal!
