I’ve been given these gorgeous colours and I’d like to wear the Hi-Vis all at once but there are 7 different colours and I have 10 nails to be painted.

Do we choose some to repeat or is there a better option?

I think with the pride collection I’ll do some art with all of the colours on each nail so I’m less concerned about that but I’d love to see some inspo!

Thank you gorgeous lot

  1. Hello Hoofy! How about vertical sponge gradients? You can probably squeeze more in that way…

However I would probably just go for a plain mani and a glitter topcoat.

Ps. Love seeing Barry M on here it doesn’t get much air time here. ❤️💅

  2. If I’m doing skittles/multicolours I always like to put the same colour on my thumb and index finger, idk why but I really like the way it looks! Or you can repeat one on thumb + little finger since they’re far apart. Enjoy the new colours! I love a bit of rainbow brightness in winter!

  3. Ooh lucky you! With the exception of the yellow, I’m seeing three ‘pairs’ that look pretty similar to I’d be tempted to do the yellow on my thumb and ring on both hand, and then split the pairs up for three colours on each of the three remaining fingers per hand, if that makes sense, so you don’t have any similar ones together. Or I’d deliberately put them together for comparison – idk how similar they really are irl – and fill in with either black or anything else I want to compare.

I’d be really interested to know how you find the formula – the only hi-vis I’ve tried had a terrible for ula that cracked?? Like one of those crackle top coats, almost, it was really strange.

I would personal do a French manicure with 5 of the colors as the base for each nail and the remaining one or two as the French tip color.

You also could do some sort of stripes to integrate more colors. 2 colors per nail would fit the 6 colors nicely, the 7 cookies might need 3 colors per nail to get a nice pattern going.

  5. I see two of the high vis are matte, so you could alternate those as base colours and use the others for nail art on top, to provide contrast. Or vice versa! If you did the matte polishes as the base, you could use a different colour nail art on each finger. If you did it the other way around, you could use both mattes on each finger to give it more cohesiveness (like how some people put the same topper on each nail of a skittle, to bring it together).

For art, I’d probably do a variation on a French tip, dots, or something abstract with the plastic wrap method.

If you don’t want to do nail art, you could figure out which order you like best then go left to right on your left hand & right to left on your right hand. Not sure if that makes sense, but it would work out something like:

    Left hand
    – L pinkie: polish 1
    – L ring: polish 2
    – L middle: polish 3
    – L index: polish 4
    – L thumb: polish 5 (or white)

    Right hand
    – R pinkie: polish 7
    – R ring: polish 6
    – R middle: polish 5
    – R index: polish 4
    – R thumb: polish 3 (or white)
