I bought the Hera Black Cushion in shade 23c1 because I heard such great reviews about its finish and longevity. As someone with oily skin and texture, it sounded perfect.
Now I'm sitting over here contemplating if i just don't have the skin for this… Like, it's not horrendous, the texture is light and comfortable, but my pores literally look more obvious with it on than without it.
I might get some "this is just how skin looks" comments, but before buying this I've been using a pretty old Sephora Collection Best Skin Ever Fluid Foundation in 19.5P and that foundation, while its longevity is horrible and does nothing to stop my oil from melting it off, doesn't look like this after application. It doesn't make my pores look extra textured like this. I even powdered this with the Innisfree No Sebum loose powder, and it STILL looks like this.
The texture of the cushion is light, but maybe because of that, it doesn't fill in pores at all and just makes them stand out…?
I really really WANT to love this but if this is really the finish it's going to give me, I won't repurchase and will start looking for a different cushion from today on. I was so looking forward to getting it because I thought I'd look even better for christmas, but I suppose that's not gonna happen.
Other than the finish, the cushion is very longlasting, so at least that's within expectations.

Have you tried using primer first?
