I wasn't sure what was normal and I knew they felt weird when I was leaving, but I didn't really look at them until I got home. There's a ton of gel or glue underneath the nails. It's really irritating my skin. And does it not look like the nails are kind of lifting up? The polish also looks really uneven and bumpy to me. I did email them but plan to go in the morning as well.

Those aren’t just not good… They’re straight up terrible. Go back and have them clean it up.

No they aren’t good. They used way too much extend gel. Honestly I watched some youtube videos and bought the exact same gel-x kit the salons use from Apres directly. I’ve been doing my own ever since.
Go back to the salon and show the manager/owner. They will know immediately the issue and ask to have them redone.
My sister! I learned a lot about this sort of thing here yesterday when I posted mine. But is the gel touching your SKIN? Oof.
I wonder if chop shops are extra bad at putting on really short gelx tips or something because a lot of the particularly bad jobs I see on here tend to be on really short nails 🤔
What’s up with these gel x posts lately it’s stressing me out. I mean everyone with eyeballs can see that did a terrible job. Howwwwww can you walk out of a salon like that?
