2 whole evenings I spent trying to some of my husbands clan/name/family (apologies to any Scott’s) tartan on my nails for Christmas. Ended up with just the thumbs.
I’m pretty new (3 months) to actual nail art after many years of just painting solid colours. My colour collection is also very limited. So be kind 😆. I confess to using nail stickers for the sweater nails which I’ve never used before either. Have now worked out that I should’ve painted the first, then the stickers and then another coat of white before the matte TC. Live and learn. Regardless, I’m never doing tartan again. Or bows, I hate bows.
I used Barry M colours. Navy, forest green, red. Some white acrylic paint for the white lines and bows (my white polish is rubbish, hopefully Santa is getting me some), the nail stickers were from Temu and the gel top coats are both Mylee matte and glossy.
I use regular polish and top with uv gel. Never had a problem. Though I do understand the process would be much easier and faster with all the products being gel.
Anyway, Merry Christmas everyone and ta ta tartan. 😉
