TLDR as per rules is in the post – their range of like 40 shades now starts at 008 (three shades cut), includes a handful of warm mid white tones, cuts out the entire medium to deep spectrum, and then leaves TWO deeper shades total at the end of it.
I understand how my shade wasn’t profitable or sold well but you CANNOT tell me that no single person of colour bought their stuff or that those two random deep shades sold EXCEPTIONALLY well.

I think this brand was really close to bankruptcy, don’t quote me though. Eeeek. IIRC they almost pulled out of Ulta as well. I remember searching and none of their stuff was there.
I’m terrified Too Faced may go bankrupt as well, it is one of my favorite brands, I love the fun and colorful packaging and makeup and their BTW line, their makeup is some of my favorite.

They’re probably selling off remaining stock before launching something new as a hail mary or folding completely.

Are you sure the other shades aren’t just sold out? I just poked around the other face products on the website and I don’t see any grayed out, “sold out” shades on any of them (which makes me think they maybe just don’t show an option at all if the shades aren’t there) and the shade ranges are wildly different for this, the balm foundation, and the concealer. The concealer only has 8 shades but more medium shades, and the balm has one fewer shade than the serum but goes from 006 to 100 (where the serum has 008-088) and has a much more even distribution of shades. There’s also only like 6 shades that are in both the serum AND the balm, the others are only available in one formula or the other

i could be wrong but doesn’t leftover shades just imply it’s being discontinued/those already gone?

I think they’re on their way out. The 2016 brands that are were on top of the market then have almost no relevance now. KVD, Tarte, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Becca (RIP), etc. I’m sure in 10 years brands like Makeup by Mario, Sol de Janeiro, Refy, etc. will suffer the same fate.

I think they’re most likely discontinuing the foundation and trying to get rid of the shades they still have a lot of stock in. It does say “leftover shades”

Unfortunately, this doesn’t surprise me if the company is doing poorly.
