I have 4 pretty full drawers of polish organized by brand, finish, and color. I love the way they’re organized BUT I am moving and I have always been curious about putting them in rainbow order!! Moving presents the perfect opportunity.
I feel like the pros are: preventing myself from duping myself (which I have done many times), & encouraging me to reach for lesser used polishes & brands. Cons are my boyfriend will look at them and say “these are all the same” 😂
I’m scared that I’ll hate it but I am curious to try! Can any rainbow order organizers out there share their experience? Do you love or hate it?

It’s a hard choice! I love rainbow ordering, but I also love lining up bottles by brand–it looks so nice and I love seeing my collection from each brand. And magnetics are so hard to order by color because they look so different in the bottle than they do magnetized on the nail.
Is this an Alex unit? Whatever it is, it looks beautiful.

I order my swatch sticks by color, and check those when ordering so I don’t dupe myself. Bottles get stored by brand, then by color.
I rainbow within categories – so like magnetic, holo, shimmer, jelly, etc. gotta at least keep the magnetic separate or I’ll drive myself nuts.
I always go finish (glitter, shimmer, crème), then rainbow.
When I’m grabbing a polish, the finish/type is usually more important than the shade.
