How many times do you wear a polish before you decide it’s not the one? Once I have decided it’s in my destash pile I tend to leave them a few months before trying it out one last time.
Left hand is China Glaze Frostbite from May this year when I was going through a hyper fixation with cobalt blue. The formula is terrible and it also needs several coats to get it anywhere near as vibrant as it is in the bottle.
The right hand is ILNP Greatness from my hyper fixation with a Moscow mule manicure (copper chrome) from 2024. The colour shift from this multi chrome is ‘great’ 🤓 but it leans a little too pinky red.

If I’m not loving a polish on my hands for whatever reason, then sometimes I try it on my toes and I’m like “ok, you can stay.” Or you could franken it (mix it with another polish) maybe another one you’re not keen on.
I think ILNP Greatness is a lovely colour on you.
I decided I’m writing down all my polishes this December, crossing off the ones I use in 2026, and then in 2027, getting rid of the ones I haven’t touched
Ugh I have gone back and forth on a handful of polishes several times. Ultimately I don’t hate them, but I don’t adore them and some of them I know are quite popular, so my heart tells me to send them to others who will love them more. It’s hard, but I definitely have more than enough polish.
Sometimes a polish makes it in the destash box after only being swatched on a stick. I don’t like keeping things I have to convince myself to wear and sometimes I just know when it’s not going to be my thing. I do a destash when I hit a certain number in the box and I don’t go back in to save any of them or I’d never let them go lol
