Disclaimer: this post is NOT sponsored, I am clearly not an influencer or a brand rep, I just genuinely love this sheet mask and can't figure out why more people aren't talking about it lol.
This is without a doubt one of the most slept-on special care Asian beauty products for folks with dry, dehydrated or stressed out winter skin, and to this day I am perplexed as to how this isn't more popular.
I first stumbled across this product in my local TJ Maxx a little over a year ago, right when the cold weather was starting to set in across the North American northeast. It comes packaged in a sleek, minimalistic box and advertises itself as a formula containing "rice bran water and rice extract" and I was immediately intrigued both by my love for all things rice and also the fact that I had never heard of this brand before (which is a little unusual for me). It comes in a box of 10 and sells for $9.99 at TJM, or 99 cents per sheet.
This is the complete ingredients list, with key ingredients in bold:
Purified Water, Glycerin, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Water (50,000ppm), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, 1,2-Hexandaiol, Butylene Glycol, Dipropylene Glycol, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract (2,000ppm), Avena Sativa (Oat) Meal Extract, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Extract (1,000ppm), Saccharomyces/Rice Bran Ferment (1,000ppm), Hordeum Vulgare Seed Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Honey Extract, Trehalose, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetostearyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Polysorbate 60, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Allantoin, Carbomer, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Arginine, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Sodium Polyacrylate, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance
So as we can see, this product contains a boatload of rice extracts in various forums, as well as oat extract, saccharomyces/rice bran ferment, barley seed extract, licorice root, honey, trehalose and allantoin.
The texture is thick, milky but viscous with a good slip. The mask itself fits perfectly and isn't too big for my small-sized face. The ingredients in the serum are incredibly soothing and nourishing if you are dealing with dry, windburned or cold-sensitized skin, and because the price is so good I stock up on these masks so I can use them regularly throughout the winter. I leave the mask on for a minimum of 15 minutes, and because it's truly saturated in that creamy essence it literally never dries out. (I guess maybe if you left it on overnight it eventually would lol). I find that when I use this mask 2-3 times per week my skin is better able to hold onto hydration and is also more resilient against barrier-damaging environmental stressors. This does have fragrance…essentially it's the natural scent of honey, it is a sweet, milky scent, I think it smells delicious, but perhaps if you are super sensitive this will be too much. I don't find it overwhelming in the least though!
Folks, this product is phenomenonal. It takes a lot to impress me, and I'm inherently skeptical of the glut of knockoff K-beauty brands flooding the market, but I am so-so-so glad I bought it! If you see this floating around your local TJ Maxx or Ross, give it a shot, I think you'll be shocked at how good this thing is lol.
