Magnetic polish, top coat, and glass bead test… too many variables?! 😅

Products used:

-Base coat: MoonCat hardcore base coat
-Ridge filler: MoonCat getting even primer
-Polish: mooncat illusionist
-Topcoat: sally Hansen insta-dri (right hand) Essie gel couture (left hand)
– 30lb magnet velvet style (pinky and middle)
– 5D perfect glass bead nail magnet spinner (ring, index, thumb) with the 30lb magnet on top

Tried playing with Mooncat Illusionist the other evening and… yeah, there were a lot of variables happening at once 😅.

Same base coat, same primer…but two different top coats, two magnetic methods, and chaotic results lol.

My application wasn’t the best either. I definitely missed some edges so it’s looking a little sloppy.

Left hand (with the fidget ring):
I used Essie Gel Couture as the top coat. I think I spun the magnet way too fast because the bead got super tight, but the edges look kinda funky.

Right hand:
Used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri, and I actually like this result better… but it might just be because I turned the magnet slower.

It was my first time using the 5D magnetic glass bead tool from Etsy. Between that, the different top coats, and multiple magnet methods, I was a little overstimulated 😅 So the results weren’t as magical as I hoped.

I clearly need a real lamp for my setup, but I’m excited to keep practicing.

Any other tips or suggestions?!
