They look great for being done at home. Seriously!! You can and will probably improve to a more professional polished look if you keep it up.
Tips:
Cuticle remover solution to soften up your cuticles and allow you scrape away excess skin with a cuticle pusher easily.
Physically PULL your skin on the sides of your nails as far away from the nail plate as you can to get that polish right to the edge of the sidewall of the nail. I see on your thumb where the polish could just be a tiny bit smoother at the edge.
