polish: a christmas kiss by fauve cosmetics
i took a leap on buying this shade as at the time, the swatch photos on the website were on fair skin only. however, oh my christmas, it's such a mood for meeee 🎄
- photos from 1-4 are in 3 coats + 3 coats top coat (more on that later)
- photo 5 is 1 coat no top coat
- photo 6 is 2 coats no top coat
mini review:
– it's thicccccccck, all those foil flakes and glitters make it quite plump

it does dry very textured. i had an issue where some of the foil flakes wouldn't lay down flat, but kept sticking up. i took them out while the polish was wet and tried to flatten them and place them back on the nail.

i learned i should probably get a 'glitter grabber', this is a thirsty polish. i did 3 coats of top coat to get a smooth finish as i don't enjoy the texture finish. however, even then, some of my nails have a texture finish. i'm claiming defeat, i don't want to add a fourth coat of top coat 😭

i def prefer this in 1 coat for a fun topper and 2 coats for full coverage. i was greedy and did 3 coats just to feel something

application was a learning curve, i wanted to get closer to my cuticle line but the flakes said no 😅 i will not back down though 💪🏼
lighting:
– photos 1-2 are indoor indirect light from my window
– photos 3-4 are indoor shade light, i'm blocking it
– photos 5-6 are my led lights by my nail desk
