I changed my polish *almost* every day in Nov.

Pros: got to wear lots of untrieds, new sparkle every day, fun! I’ll feel less guilty about my handful of BF polishes since I really knocked down my untrieds list by a lot.

Cons: I feel like continuing to increase the pace of my changes is making me a more impatient person? 🤣 sometimes I feel a little guilty when my polish is extra pretty, like I should appreciate it for longer. BUT I can always wear it again. 😁. Trying to post less; no one wants to see my polish every single damn day 🤣

All manis have some combo of peely base, regular base, QDTC.

Regular bases usually kb shimmer stay put hydrating base, nail aid keratin, nail aid biotin. Can’t say I notice much difference with such short wear times.

QDTC are Poshé, Seche Vite, or Sally Hansen insta-dri most of the time. Sometimes extra layers of Seche Vive or gel couture if it needs it.

Peely base about 3/4 of the way through the month I switched from homemade clear glue based to holo taco peely base. I really like the feel of the professional stuff as a daily peely user! I’m eating my “homemade is good enough” words!

Flippant reviews by polish below!

• Uno Mas: casa de heaven. What to say that has not already been said? This is the polish in the dreams of all the great poets and composers when they glimpsed the far future and woke up to write their best sonnets and compose their most passionate overtures without knowing why they feel so uplifted and inspired. It’s just, like… science.

  • Punkish Polish: Carousel. This is the glitter polish to rule all glitter polishes. It is SO. FREAKING. SPARKLY. yet it has a dark base so it doesn’t read straight bright silver which I really really liked. Applied like a dream too!

• Cracked: Crimson Ecstasy. I love a red. It’s gorgeous but I don’t feel like it was necessarily a stand out among all my reds in the same way as say Ruby pumps (GLITTER) or 23 Flavors (especially unique shade, brings brown tones without being ugly (sorry other maroons that are sometimes uggos…)). Do I like it? It’s red. Yes. Duh. If I had painted my nails with someone else’s bottle, would I have run out to buy it? Possibly not. But I will wear it again.

• ILNP: Fairy Dust. This is very glowy and neat and special, but I do kind of feel like I might like it better as a topper, or at least with an under layer of something.

• Holo Taco: Glitch & Glam. GLITTER.!!!!! My only complaint is I want this exact formula in some deep, dark, or jewel tones. But OMG GLITTER.

• Punkish Polish: Dead on Arrival. Just when I was starting to think I had too many blues… 🤣. Gorgeous, has a lot of really subtle shifts. It’s more of a navy glow/shimmer vs the cobalt in a lot of other polishes, but not TOO dark. Like my favorite dark wash denim. This is my version of a palate cleanser! ❤️

• ILNP: Reminisce. Pretty and shifty but I can’t say it slapped me in the face with I Can’t Wait To Wear This Again vibes. Not really sure why maybe I’m just not in a green mood.

• Cracked: Velvet Seat Cushion. I hate to say it because I love cracked, but this one was Loser Of The Month. It’s… “fine”? Maybe it’s too far to the middle of the purple spectrum, and I prefer either darker, bluer, or redder? I think my most damning comment is I was putting my picture collages together from memory and when I got to this one I could not remember wearing it or what polish it was. 😬

• Holo Taco: Wade a Minute. Oh heck yeah I love this formula. Stunning. ❤️FLAKIES❤️

• Cracked: Nuclear Coolant. I’m going to lacquerista hell for dunking on cracked twice in this list, aren’t I? 😬. This polish is extremely pretty, and it is very unfortunate for this polish that Casa de Heaven exists. 🫣 I’m sorry nuclear coolant. You really are pretty you’ve just been eclipsed is all. It’s not your fault. I do think this is the blue that most closely matches my car though so that’s fun.

• Punkish Polish: Famous Last Words. A polish that is so packed with red glitter it’s almost (ALMOST) a one coaster?? GIMME. I am pretty sure this was created specifically for ME, thank you and no notes.

• Punkish Polish: Miss Murder. I mean, see above. Black with red glitter? GIMME. this one does need more glitter grabber action, it looks much prettier with a nice glassy finish. I already posted this one separately because it’s so damn gorgeous. These two jumped the line in my original nov. To Wear list, I had to put them on as soon as they arrived. 😍

• Punkish Polish: Prototype 74. (A theme emerges! lol yes I’m a big fan…). I’m sad for anyone who loves this one as I’m not sure it’ll be in the catalog. I cannot resist mystery or tiny bottles, this was both: a mini mystery polish! It was the first one I pulled out of my Punkish order when it arrived and I literally gasped. It’s a dark shifty blue purple blackish with various sparse color glitters and holos. Like a deep night sky with stars coming out. 😍 STUNNER. I have a video of I I should really post separately, it’s so pretty. But I’m not sure if that’s mean when it’s a prototype? “Isn’t this gorgeous? Shame you can’t buy one for yourself…” 🤣🤣🤣

• Glitch Lacquer: Sunset Sky Lane. Never have I seen a polish more perfectly named! I can’t keep saying stunning but honestly, it is. The flakies are very reflective and beautiful sunset colors and the jelly base is the perfect in between not too navy not too bright blue of a sky that’s getting darker. Adore!

• Holo Taco: Red Licorice. I love bright reds I love linear holo, ZERO FREAKING NOTES.

• blank beauty “raspberry jam.” Meh… too… dark? A little too brownish? I’m going to try it under jellies and other things or maybe franken it. Disappointing but I knew that looking at the bottle. ( I think the reason this isn’t Loser Of The Month is it was already disappointing in the bottle as soon as it arrived, vs newly disappointing on wearing it. )

• Glitch Lacquer: All Hallows Eve. There’s such a gorgeous subtlety to this one. It’s silvery grayish but then pink comes through underneath, and it’s very sparkly. It’s not loud or contrasting but it’s also not plain.

• ILNP: Mega. Ok I do love linear holo but not sure this will be a regular for me. It’s almost too bright silver? Will probably use it more under stuff, we’ll see.

• ILNP: Rosewater. Way more my speed than mega. Very sparkly, I’ll probably get a few more from this collection one day. My only note here is on the website swatches it looks like this one is “color kissed” with RED; it’s 100% PINK, do not be fooled.

• ILNP: Flower Child. I feel much the same about this one as Fairy Dust. It’s pretty built up in, I think I actually did 4 coats. I’m not sure I love it by itself, but I look forward to interesting layering opportunities. ( Of the two I like fairy dust better. )

• ILNP: Spiced Cider. I’m really coming into my Warm Browns era I think! Love this one and it was perfect for thanksgiving.

• Cracked: Rhubarb Pie Guts. My favorite thing about this besides the name is at some angles it does have a hint of orangey brownie tones that are very rhubarby! I actually wish those were a tiny bit stronger and the main finish was a tiny bit less silvery but I still like it. (Did already post this one separately)

• Uno Mas: Main Character Energy. I love a red, if I did not mention that 35 times already. I actually started to get nervous about this one as it’s quite a warm red but it does not actually look orange at all. It’s really pretty and of course the formula is magically satisfyingly buttery smooth. I think this is going to be almost, ALMOST, closest ever to being, tied with my favorite red (OPI big Apple red which is a touch cooler.) it’s really nice, not too warm after all. Like OPI B.A.R. is my red #1, this is my red #1.3 😆

That’s 23 full manis, 23 different polishes over the month. I’m technically at 29 new worn for the month due to my “cheater mani” – quite a while ago I impulse bought the OPI mini set “make em jelly” specifically for the bitty tiny bottles. The bitty bottles are adorable but I don’t like most of the colors OR they’re near dupes to something I already have. Most of them are getting frankened probably. Le sigh. That’s the very ugly and poorly done rainbow vertical gradient. It is painted over Mega.

I think the color names are:

• Blushin pride: too pink, not really a jelly? I don’t think? Second from least terrible.
• prideful peach: blech.
• daffodil duck walk: this one is not bad, gonna try again as a main color
• pose in ivy: tied for Most Blech with the orange.
• blue them all away: I could swear I already have almost this exact color, both are a lighter blue I’m meh about
• vogue in violet: also a dupe, in addition to being a purple shade I’m pretty meh about.

At least since the bottles are so small it’ll be easy to use them up. 🤣
