Cbeauty palettes swatches (Girlcult 56 and 61 multichromes, Girlcult face palette and Joocyee)

I planned on posting these sooner but kept postponing it, until I hit pan on one of the joocyee eyeshadows and thought ok. I need to post it now or it'll ruin the aesthetique of the pictures…. (it has already been ruined sorry haha 😭)

In order: Girlcult 56, Girlcult 61, Girlcult 02 Peach Blossom, Joocyee 01 Wooden Pink.

I tried to get different lighting but swatching eyeshadows is hard!! second to last picture is a comparison I did of the girlcult face palette and the joocyee eyeshadow palette because joocyee's actually was the first eyeshadow palette I seriously searched about and bought when I got into makeup last year (after spending my teen years only buying those extra cheap ones you find at stores where they also sell beach chairs haha).

I thought I could make it work as an all-over palette for contouring and highlighting too, and it does work as an all-over palette and was pretty helpful for me to test things out when I was just starting! in a pinch, it works for my eyebrows too, so I also swatched my eyebrow pencil next to it.

just a short review this time:

• love girlcult's 56, it's my favorite palette!! if I could have only one eyeshadow palette, it'd be this one, I wouldn't even care that it's all sparkly shades
• girlcult's 61 is very pretty, but imo not multichromes at all, even though I definitely saw them advertising it as such. I would call them duochromes at most, with a rather weak shift
• girlcult's face palette isn't super moisturizing when it's cold here because the creams feel cream-to-powder, even though it is marketed towards dry skin, so I'd be careful purchasing this one if I had dry skin, I think. for reference, the coldest it gets where I live is 10C, plus humidity is high all year round because it's near the beach, and I have combination skin
• joocyee's eyeshadow palette is very useful when traveling or helping other more colorful palettes work (such as girlcult's 61), but nowadays I wouldn't repurchase it because I find the shades to be too similar to each other
