Hello! When it was announced that Skin 1004 would stop selling to the US, I stocked up on Hyalu-Cica SPF. Now I see it’s being sold at Walmart. Does anyone know if the formula they’re selling at Walmart is different than the version I used to get from Korea?

  1. I had to double check, but Walmart is not listed as one of their suppliers.

Source: not sure if direct links are allowed on this sub, but go on their global site and under their main menu, hit “retailers”. US shows as the second country listed. 9 retailers, Walmart is not mentioned. Maybe there’s a different classification to what Walmart is, or the skin1004 site just wasn’t updated, but you’re right, due to US regulations, most popular Korean sunscreens are not able to be sold over there.

My previous company (though a pretty sh*t company, so I don’t feel sorry for them) got shafted because we just shipped a huge batch of sunscreens from Korea to Amazon warehouse, just to have them removed from the platform a few weeks later.

  2. I would strongly recommend you do not purchase from Walmart. Walmart now allows 3rd party sellers and it’s basically the wild Wild West out there you could easily end up with a counterfeit
