I’ve tried so many times to get glass bead nails and I just cannot seem to get it right! For this manicure only my pointer and ring finger were done using the 5D Print Factory tool. I’ve tried only magnetizing the last layer + topcoat, I’ve tried doing every single layer, I’ve tried spinning it fast vs slow, and no matter what I do I can only seem to get this velvet effect! I also always make sure my layers are thick enough to magnetize. I’ve seen lots of people get a great glass bead with this tool, so if you have any recommendations I would greatly appreciate it🥲🫶🏽

Are you doing one nail at a time? And for how long?
Have you tried the tool with any other magnetic polishes? I don’t have this polish, but I have found that some magnetic polishes are more responsive to the bead method than others. Magnetic particle size, composition, etc. factor in. I’ve also had beads go from meh on coat 2 to wow on coat 3.
I’m not familiar with the specific tool you’re using, but I noticed a difference in bead formation with how close the magnet is to my finger. If you’re able to adjust it, especially to go closer, that may help.
Good luck!
I think it’s the tool because in the review photos, I don’t really see particularly beady glass beads. It could be that the magnets are not oriented for best results. Before you do anymore troubleshooting or blame the polish, [try this manual method](https://imgur.com/SsqSkGS) if you happen to have one of those freebie magnetic wands laying around. Hold it about 1cm away from the nail. If you can make a smaller glass bead with that, then it’s an issue with the 5D tool.
is your nail positioned in the center of the magents? that’s the only thing i can think of that you/other commenters haven’t addressed. i take the top off, position my nail, then place the top back on before magnetizing. if nothing else works i would recommend reaching out to the shop – everyone else’s results have been really good so it might just be that you got a freak faulty product!
it didn’t work for me at first either, but on my end it was a positioning issue, i think. i also can’t get certain polishes to work with it. i do agree with the other comments to do one nail at a time and to try the other sizes!! i hope it works out, good luck!
Okay thanks to everyone’s advice, I was able to get what I think to be a considerable improvement!🥳 Only tested on my pointer finger so far, but thank you so much to everyone who commented, you guys are the best!🫶🏽

I recently bought that tool as well. I’ve only used it once, but it didn’t work for me at all.
I put one of those horseshoe magnets on the top of the spinner and that what worked. Before it just wasn’t strong enough.
